2024 Coors Light Líderes Nomination Criteria

  • The nominee must be:
    • An outstanding Latino leader in the community who demonstrates leadership values and qualities and is seen as an emerging, next generation leader.
    • Associated with a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that meets all of the “Nonprofit Eligibility Requirements” outlined below through a volunteer leadership role or an employee of the nonprofit organization.
    • Of Hispanic/Latino descent, between the ages of 21 and 39 years old and a legal resident of the U.S. or Puerto Rico.
    • An emerging community leader in good standing with the community who through his/her words and actions exemplifies leadership and works toward establishing noteworthy improvement in the lives of individuals, communities, and organizations.
  • Nominees must be serving the community through areas such as leadership development, higher education, sustainability, economic empowerment, or social justice initiatives.
  • Nominees must not have any history of alcohol-related incidents, such as driving while intoxicated.
  • Nominations can be submitted by nonprofits or the public on behalf of an individual. Self-nominations are also accepted. Name and contact of the nonprofit and contact information of nominee and/or nominator must be provided at time of nomination.
  • Nonprofit Eligibility Requirements include:
    • Must have a 501(c)(3) certification and a commitment to ethical business and social practices.
    • Have a project or program that benefits the Hispanic community. If the nonprofit does not already have such a Hispanic-focused program, the organization must be willing to augment an existing program to include Latinos or create one if their nominee is elected as one of the five winners of the 2024 Coors Light Líderes Program and receives a $10,000 grant for the nonprofit.
    • Have existing project(s) or program(s) that mostly focus on persons 21 years old and older.
    • Align with Coors Light corporate social responsibility commitments and agree to work with Coors Light.
    • Organizations with missions directed toward serving youth or health-related issues, K-12 schools, and political organizations are not eligible for funding.
  • The five individuals selected as 2024 Líderes of the Year will be awarded a $10,000 grant for the nonprofit identified in the nomination at the time of submission.
  • Honorees will remain engaged with the Coors Light Líderes program throughout the year.
  • The grants must be used as follows:
    • Fund a new or existing community project that benefits the Hispanic community and follows the eligibility requirements and approval from Coors Light.
    • The nonprofit will provide a summary report of how funds were used within a year of receiving the grant.
